Teachers use a variety of approaches to address children’s specific needs while helping them continue to progress in areas of strength. Reading is emphasized and integrated throughout the curriculum. Techniques are based on current research in the field of learning differences.
Lower school students participate in a full curriculum of classes including math, social studies, environmental science, art, physical education and music. A multi-sensory approach to learning is used in all classes and students learn through teacher modeling, hands-on experience, direct instruction and research. Technology is available in each classroom.
